2011 Sukh Sagar Sant Teja Singh Scholarship Award
Available to all students who are now in their final year of high school in the 2010/2011 school year.

Scholarships will be awarded based on the following criteria:
- successful completion of grade 12 with a minimum of a 3.00 GPA in grades 11 and 12;
- involvement in the community including volunteer experiences;
- willing to learn Sikh history and Sikh religious principles;
- acceptance to a Canadian University;
- Canadian citizen or landed immigrant.
Note: Scholarships will be provided in one installment of $1000 each per student for one (1) year.
Application Requirements:
A complete application consists of the following elements:
Required:
- this application form, fully completed and signed;
- an essay of up to 500 words on “How this scholarship will help meet my future plans academically and spiritually;”
- a letter of reference from your school, written by a guidance counsellor, teacher or principal;
- one other letter of reference, preferably by someone who has observed you in a work or volunteer environment;
- a transcript of your academic record.
Optional:
- An essay of up to 250 words, describing your family and personal circumstances (family employment, economic situation, etc.), or other extenuating circumstances you feel may be relevant to the consideration of your application.

All applications and supporting documents must be postmarked no later than Aug 8th, 2011. No late submissions will be considered. Scholarship award date for 2011 is yet to be announced and will be late August/early September 2011.
